About the Illinois Medical Cannabis Pilot Program.
Medical cannabis may offer relief from pain, nausea, headaches, anxiety, loss of appetite, sleeplessness, inflammation, and other uncomfortable symptoms associated with your condition. It can even help you cope with the harsh side effects of some traditional medical therapies. And now you have the choice to use medical cannabis in Illinois. It’s a legal treatment option for doctor-certified, registered patients with at least one of 40+ qualifying conditions.
You must be:
Under 18? You must also have an adult caregiver, and you will only have access to medical cannabis-infused products.
To become a registered medical cannabis patient or caregiver, you must take the appropriate steps.
Not all doctors know about the benefits of medical cannabis, so prepare to act as your own health advocate when talking to your doctor. Many resources, including the Medical Cannabis Alliance of Illinois (MCAI), provide scientific studies and tips for talking to physicians about medical cannabis.
If your doctor chooses not to participate in the program, you still have options. Patient advocate groups such as the Cannabis Patient Advocacy Coalition and The Healing Clinic can help connect you with physicians who support medical cannabis, so don’t give up until you get the help you desire.
We developed New Age Care’s pioneering methodology based on our personal experience as primary caregivers and patient advocates for 12 years. We’ve seen firsthand how chronic conditions and terminal illness can negatively affect patients, family members, and friends. Seeking to provide relief and comfort for those in pain, we’ve made it our mission to find medications that work where traditional medicines fail.
That mission has led us to educate ourselves not just on the latest methods of care, but also on the broader patient experience. By listening to and constantly communicating with patients, physicians, pharmacists, nurses, and hospice care workers, as well as researching what may work in providing relief, we have gained a deep understanding and gratitude for compassionate care.
This knowledge informs the tone for our dispensary, and all who work in it.
We are driven by empathy, patient empowerment, and the privilege to provide you with a safe, comforting environment, filled with staff members who warmly welcome, serve, and assist you in selecting the appropriate medicine for your needs.
So, please, join us. And see what a difference caring makes.
